Spiced Zucchini Pear Cake with Brown Butter Glaze

The great thing about a simple glaze or icing recipe is there’s no single way to make it. It’s a very versatile recipe requiring powdered sugar, liquid and flavoring. Simply whisk together the following ingredients in a bowl and drizzle over a wide variety of desserts:

  • 1 cup of sifted powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons of milk, heavy cream or half and half
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional liquids you can use for different flavors include citrus juice, coffee, liqueur, or maple syrup.
