Taco Sloppy Joes
Sloppy joes made with taco beef and piled high with fresh taco toppings are sure to please a crowd.
I guess there’s some major sporting event happening this weekend? Huh.
We don’t have cable and I couldn’t care less about football, so there’s a good chance I won’t see any of the game. Regardless, I’d hate to pass up an opportunity to overindulge on snacks, appetizers and other sorts of game day food.
What are you making for the Super Bowl— Chips and dip? Wings? Burgers? How about these super easy, super scrumptious taco sloppy joes?
Sloppy joes are one of those beloved childhood meals that I hope I never outgrow. They’re perfect for feeding any crowd, whether you’ve got a large family gathering or a living room filled with rowdy sports fans.
And these sloppy joes are sure to be extra popular because they’ve got a fun taco twist— jalapenos, enchilada sauce, and taco seasoning cooked right in with the meat, plus so many fun taco toppings! Use whatever you like, I added lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream and cilantro and they were perfect.
Serve the sandwiches next to a big bowl of tortilla chips and plenty of salsa and you’ve got yourself a slam dunk. Or a home run. Or a touchdown. Or, whatever. Just make ’em, okay?

Love this recipe, Annalise! You know tacos are my thing- such a fun idea and twist. Hope you’re well! xo
My first taco tuesday! 🙂 I didn’t even realize. Thanks for the comment Kelley, miss you!
Two perfect foods in one delicious sandwich… My dream come true! xoxo
Sloppy Joes are one of my favorite things to eat. Loving this amped up taco version!
Glad I’m not the only one who still loves sloppy joes! Thanks Chels! 🙂
Ha ha! Slam dunk! I think it’s a goal, isn’t it? 😀 Even if my seat was on Anthony Mackie’s lap I still wouldn’t watch the super bow. Not the whole thing, anyway.
I will never outgrow these things, either. I make them with lentils all the time. But taco sloppy joes! This is an “Aha!” moment. Thank you!
Yummy!! The dish looks so tasty. I am for sure going to prepare this recipe today itself. Thanks Annalise for sharing this recipe 🙂
Such a brilliant idea! I’m a huge fan of sloppy j’s (not so much for football- high five!) and so I can imagine these will be a hit at our house!
