Measuring sticky liquids

Scraping peanut butter, honey, or molasses out of your measuring cup is a pain! And sometimes it’s the little tricks that make a big difference when we’re in the kitchen. Here are a few suggestions for making measuring out sticky liquids easier.

  • Use a digital scale. This is the best solution, and weighing your ingredients helps in more ways than one! Place your bowl over the scale and measure ingredients directly into it by weight, no need to dirty an extra dish.
  • Grease measuring cup with nonstick spray. Give them a little spritz and they’ll slide right out! This works really well for honey and molasses.
