Motherhood is hard, as it turns out. I know what you’re thinking— duh!
Well, baby and I are adjusting to our new life at home together and I have yet to master the art of baking one-handed or during nap time, let alone had five extra minutes to even think about what I’d bake. I apologize for not having a new recipe to share with you, but here are a few recipes from my archives that I think you may like.
Have you seen my tutorial on how to build a layer cake? I’ve tried to take the mystery out of layer cakes and show you how fun and easy it is to bake one like a pro.
Speaking of cake, check out this Southern Coconut Cake. It’s one of my favorites.
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for summer and craving more Peach Sangria Sorbet.
One of the first things I think I’ll bake when I’m ready to get back in the kitchen are these super easy Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies, which require only four ingredients!
Check out these Almond Joy Tarts. It’s all the flavor of an almond joy candy bar in a mini tart, need I say more?
Thanks everyone for your well wishes and patience. I’ll be back soon!
Completely understandable! I’m still trying to master cooking/baking with one hand and my youngest is almost 5 months. As a result Baby Girl’s hand can often be seen in my pictures; trying to “help” me. Enjoy your little one. The baking and blogging can wait. 🙂
I love all of these! And I hope you post more pictures of the baby! 🙂
Now I’m craving cake. Can’t wait to see your little guy!
It definitely takes some time to adjust to having a little one to care for. Everything (especially getting ready to leave the house) takes three times as long as it used to. I can’t wait to meet that little guy of yours. In the meantime, I’ll satisfy myself with looking at the adorable Instagram pictures you post. Keep them coming!
Love, love, love your site and all your helpful hints. Food Network quality all over the place. Absolutely refreshing and encouraging to us baking addicts.
