Sunday Stuff 12/7
Happy Sunday!
Thanksgiving now seems like a distant memory, with the exception of a few souvenirs hanging around my love handles. We’re in full Christmas mode, despite our small rosemary “tree”. Since we’ll be spending the holiday with my parents in Seattle, it didn’t make sense to get a big one, especially when the two year-old was sure to not leave it alone.
Still, we’re baking up Christmas cookies, jamming to Christmas tunes, and getting in the Christmas spirit. We even attended our first Christmas pageant as parents at John’s daycare. It was extremely chaotic, but adorable.
And now on to some random stuff
Stories like this give you hope for humanity. Such a good read, and well worth 5 minutes of your time.
Still putting up your holiday decorations? My homemade cinnamon ornaments are going crazy on Pinterest. It’s been my most popular post for over a month!
Married couples’ kama sutra. It’s not what you think.
Just 5 ingredients, 30 minutes of your time, and over 30 scrumptious possibilities. Check out my friend Tiffany’s e-cookbook Miracle Dough, filled with sweet and savory bread recipes based on 1 simple recipe! I’ve got my eye on the chocolate hazelnut sweet rolls.
Make some room on your DVR, here is a complete listing of all holiday movies and specials airing this year.
Drooling over these snickerdoodle blondies.
We are still waiting for our first big snowstorm of the year here in Salt Lake City. And while I’m longing to play in the snow and hit the ski slopes, we have been making the most of our warm and sunny weather.
It was the week for toffee! Don’t miss my recipe for coffee toffee, plus you’ve got to check out these other versions— saltine toffee from Dessert for Two and graham cracker toffee from Gimme Some Oven.
I just finished this book, and loved it. Add it to your must-read list!
Finally, today is the last day to enter my giveaway for a copy of Red Velvet Lover’s Cookbook.
That’s it, have a wonderful week!
I bought All the Light We Cannot See a few days ago because I’ve heard so many good things about it. Can’t wait to read it!
Oh yay! I know you’re going to love it!
I love these posts, Annalise. I was on the floor reading the article about “The Married Couples’ Kama Sutra”-hilarity! John is getting so big! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas in Seattle. Hugs from TX. Miss you! xo
Thanks Flavia! Yeah, that article got me chuckling too. 🙂
Oh, yes, I’m on the library waiting list for that book! I hope it comes available for Christmas so I can hole up in my house with it for the long weekend. Preferably with some snow falling. This hot December weather has been ghastly.
