Pie Milkshake

This build-your-own pie milkshake can be made with any kind of pie!

Make this pie milkshake with any kind of pie!

This is the best way to use up any leftover pie! And I know what you’re thinking— leftover pie? Is that such a thing?

But with my little family of four, we are often left with one or two sad slices of pie that I just can’t bring myself to toss. And what better way to use up the rest of that pie than to blend it up with vanilla ice cream to create a whole new treat? It’s so simple and so fun!

Remember last week’s sweet cherry pie [1]? One afternoon I got tired of it taking up so much space in the fridge, and so we enjoyed cherry pie milkshakes all around!

Sweet cherry pie

Leftover pie is a great addition to a milkshake

This recipe will work with any slice of pie— fruit [2], pecan [3], pumpkin [4], chocolate [5], etc. Homemade or store-bought, traditional pie crust or cookie crust, all will be fabulous blended up with some ice cream. Whether you’re looking for a cool summer treat, or need a break from leftover Thanksgiving pie, this milkshake is for you!

The recipe below is more like a guideline, the idea is just to combine a piece of pie with ice cream and milk. You can’t mess it up!

This pie milkshake has one slice of pie blended right in!
